Turmeric starch is a product made from fresh turmeric that still retains the highest level of Curcumin and completely removes fiber and impurities that the body cannot absorb. Turmeric starch is currently divided into 3 types with different properties and distinctions
Yellow turmeric starch: is the most common type made from yellow turmeric used in processing dishes as well as treating diseases of the liver, bile, blood stasis, and recovering postpartum health. Yellow turmeric starch has a light yellow color, a light porous aroma because it separates the essential oil, so it does not have an unpleasant pungent smell when taken.
– Red turmeric starch: made from bright red turmeric with an orange-red color quite similar to carrots. When producing turmeric starch has an eye-catching dark yellow color and is more fragrant than yellow turmeric starch. In red turmeric starch has 4 times higher curcumin content than yellow turmeric.
– Black Turmeric Starch: made from black turmeric root. Black turmeric is usually dark purple around and light white in the middle. The special feature of black turmeric is that it contains a high amount of essential oil, so when grinding the oil will stick quite tightly to the hand. Black turmeric powder is often used to treat dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, cold cramps, vomiting, bloating or reduce bruising on the skin.
